Access Pro Training specialises in helping UK construction professionals gain recognised NVQ qualifications remotely, without needing time away from work. The organisation supports individuals from hands-on trades roles through to senior site management, offering NVQ pathways from Level 2 to Level 7. Its streamlined assessment process focuses on converting real on-site experience into nationally accredited qualifications, helping learners progress their careers and obtain CSCS cards. Access Pro Training works with experienced assessors from the construction trade who understand on-site challenges and provide personal support throughout the qualification journey.
Role Description
The NVQ Assessor at Access Pro Training is a full-time, on-site role based in Leeds. The NVQ Assessor will be responsible for:
- Assessing candidates’ competency against NVQ standards
- Reviewing evidence portfolios
- Conducting workplace observations
- Holding structured assessment meetings

The role involves guiding and coaching learners throughout their qualification, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records in line with awarding body requirements. The NVQ Assessor will collaborate with training coordinators to schedule assessments, ensure quality and consistency, and support continuous improvement of assessment processes. The position requires regular interaction with construction professionals across various trades and management levels.

Qualifications
- Recognition as a qualified NVQ Assessor (e.g., TAQA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent) and strong understanding of current NVQ standards in construction.
- Practical experience in the UK construction industry, ideally in supervisory, site management, or skilled trades roles.
- Proficiency in assessment planning, evidence gathering, and portfolio management, with attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Clear, professional communication skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and support a diverse range of learners.
- Competence in using digital tools and online platforms for record-keeping, reporting, and learner progress tracking.
- Knowledge of CSCS requirements, health and safety regulations, and relevant industry standards.
- Ability to work independently on-site, manage a caseload of learners, and meet agreed deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- Relevant vocational qualifications in construction (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above) and experience with remote or blended assessment models are advantageous.
