Hays are now looking for an OAT Quality Engineer for one of our local clients:
£424 to £467 p/d Inside IR35
Remote
6 months+ contract
Must be SC Eligible or hold SC Clearance
Join a team responsible for ensuring the successful deployment and operational readiness of AWS-hosted services. You'll design and execute operational acceptance testing, support service management activities, and validate system performance, monitoring, and support processes.
What you'll be doing:
- Design and deliver Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) activities.
- Assess the operational readiness of AWS-hosted applications and services.
- Work closely with service management and operations teams to support live services.
- Validate monitoring, alerting and support processes using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic, and Elastic Stack.
- Support testing and troubleshooting activities using Ansible, Bash scripting, and system administration skills.
- Test and validate telecommunications technologies, including 4G and 5G services.

What we're looking for:
- Experience in Operational Acceptance Testing, service management, and IT operations.
- Knowledge of AWS-hosted applications and technical testing practices.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic, or Elastic Stack.
- Familiarity with Ansible, Bash scripting, and Linux/system administration.
- Experience testing telecommunications technologies (4G/5G).
- Minimum 5 years' continuous UK residency. Transferable SC clearance preferred.
