Job Title: Obstetric Sonographer

Location: Wickford, Essex

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive rates to be discussed


We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Obstetric Sonographer to join a specialist pregnancy scanning clinic. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, personalised care while performing a wide range of obstetric ultrasound examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pregnancy ultrasound scans including reassurance, dating, gender, growth and 4D imaging
  • Produce accurate, high-quality ultrasound images and videos
  • Communicate findings clearly and sensitively to clients
  • Maintain accurate patient records and make appropriate referrals when necessary
  • Provide phlebotomy services for NIPT screening (training available)
  • Ensure compliance with clinical, infection-control, safeguarding, and safety procedures
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of service and patient care

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified and experienced Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years’ obstetric ultrasound experience
  • Current registration with HCPC, NMC, GMC, or relevant professional membership (BMUS)
  • Strong practical experience in pregnancy ultrasound, including 4D scanning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, reliable, and patient-centred approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small clinical team
  • No sponsorship offered
