About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated individual to join a dynamic busy ultrasound team. The post is within the Obstetric Scan Dept/ Fetal Medicine Unit at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. The department performs obstetric ultrasound scans for all stages of pregnancy and emergency gynaecology.
Key Requirements
- Excellent IT and communication skills are essential for this post.
- Experience working with electronic databases and patient electronic appointments systems would be advantageous.
- You should be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous obstetric experience is preferable but not essential.
- You would be expected to have an awareness of patient emotions after unexpected outcomes and have an empathetic and supportive demeanour.
Responsibilities
- Working with IT applications such as PMS, Microsoft Word, Radiology Information System, Excel, and Badgernet.
- Working in conjunction with and chaperoning the midwife sonographers to provide a high standard of care to pregnant women in the Highlands.
- Booking scan appointments and managing scan lists.
- Archiving scans and using the scan database.
- PECOS ordering.
- Liaising with all obstetric multidisciplinary team members.
