Help Shape Healthier Workplaces Across The North West
Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to deliver high-quality, proactive occupational health services for clients across the North West.
Purpose and Scope of the Role
This permanent, site-based role will see you provide class-leading occupational health support, including case management, health surveillance, health screening, and health promotion. You will work closely with client organizations, employees, managers, and the wider clinical team to support safe, healthy, and productive workplaces.
As part of a multidisciplinary occupational health team of nurses, doctors, technicians, and advisors, you will deliver consultations covering fitness for work, absence management, and employee assistance programs. The team focuses on quality over volume, with case management assessments limited to six per day to support manageable workloads, strong service standards, and long-term colleague wellbeing.
Your Impact in this Position
From the outset, you will help clients manage workplace health risks, support employees with practical and evidence-based advice, and ensure occupational health activities are delivered in line with relevant legislation.
Over time, you will strengthen client relationships, contribute to health promotion and preventative workplace health strategies, and support continuous improvement across service delivery. You will be part of a collaborative environment built on trust, respect, and shared success, with ongoing support for professional development and maintaining NMC registration.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
