The Occupational Health Manager role

The Occupational Health Manager role is a key leadership role and will have direct line management responsibility for our Senior OHAs and OH Team Leaders.

This role will have accountability in the following areas:

  • Operational Service Delivery
  • Customer and Account Management
  • Clinical Governance and Quality
  • Service Development and Compliance
  • Clinical Practice

You will carry out a variety of tasks including:

  • Leading the delivery of COPE's Occupational Health Services
  • Managing a portfolio of customer accounts
  • Supporting workforce planning
  • Monitoring performance against KPIs, SLAs and operational objectives
  • Identifying opportunities for service enhancement
  • Leading clinical audits, quality assessments and case reviews
  • Supporting risk management processes and continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining a minimum 20% income-generating clinical workload

You will:

  • be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration
  • hold a recognised Occupational Health qualification and up to date Health Surveillance training
  • have significant Occupational Health experience within a SEQOHS accredited service
  • have experience in clinical governance, quality, performance management and service improvement
  • have experience managing customer relationships and delivering against KPIs and SLAs
  • have the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a clinical workload
  • have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Occupational Health systems

We are looking for a manager who is:

  • has a full, clean driving licence and is willing to travel to COPE Head Office and customer sites as required
