Join a growing Occupational Health team in the North East

NPH Group is looking for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our friendly and growing clinical team.

If you're an NMC Registered Nurse already working in Occupational Health and looking for a role offering variety, autonomy, flexibility and continued professional development, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll work with a diverse range of organisations and industries, delivering high-quality Occupational Health services both on-site and remotely. You'll have the freedom to manage your clinical work while being part of an experienced multidisciplinary team when you need support, advice or a second opinion.

Why NPH Group?

We've been delivering Occupational Health and Wellbeing services for more than 28 years and have built our approach around three values:

  • Personal
  • Professional
  • Responsive

We want that to apply just as much to how we support our people as it does to how we support our clients.

You'll join a supportive team of Occupational Health Nurses, Doctors, Technicians and operational colleagues, with regular clinical training delivered by our Occupational Health Doctors and opportunities to continue developing your skills.

We're also investing heavily in technology and new ways of delivering Occupational Health, reducing unnecessary administration and giving our clinicians the tools and information they need to focus on good clinical practice.

What you'll be doing

Your role will include:

  • Delivering health surveillance, including audiometry, spirometry, skin and other workplace health assessments
  • Undertaking pre-employment and fitness-for-work assessments
  • Managing Occupational Health referrals and case management
  • Producing clear, practical and evidence-based reports for employees, managers and HR teams
  • Delivering immunisation and vaccination programmes where required
  • Advising employees and organisations on workplace health, adjustments and risk
  • Supporting health promotion and wellbeing initiatives
  • Maintaining high-quality digital clinical records
  • Working collaboratively with our Occupational Health Doctors and wider clinical team
  • Contributing to service development and continuous improvement

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for

We're ideally looking for an NMC Registered Nurse with existing Occupational Health experience who is comfortable working autonomously across different client environments.

You'll bring strong clinical assessment and communication skills, good written report-writing ability and a professional, pragmatic approach to working with employees, managers and HR teams.

Experience in areas such as health surveillance, case management, employment medicals, vaccinations or workplace health assessments would be particularly valuable.

An Occupational Health qualification is desirable, but we recognise that experience and capability aren't defined by a qualification alone.

We're also willing to consider an experienced NMC Registered Nurse with highly transferable skills and a strong commitment to developing a career in Occupational Health.

A full UK driving licence and ability to travel to client sites is required.

Flexibility without losing the team around you

This isn't a role where you'll spend every day in the same clinic.

You'll work across client sites, our Newcastle base and remotely where appropriate, giving you variety across your working week.

Most client-site travel is within approximately one hour of Newcastle, although occasional travel further afield will be required.
