The Role

Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, working within a specialist Addiction Treatment Service supporting adults aged 18 and over with substance misuse and co-occurring mental health needs.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering person-centred rehabilitation and recovery-focused occupational therapy. You will support individuals to develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed to achieve sustainable recovery and improve their overall wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a specialist occupational therapy caseload within an addiction treatment service
  • Complete comprehensive functional and occupational therapy assessments
  • Develop and deliver individualised, recovery-focused treatment programmes
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups and one-to-one interventions
  • Support individuals to develop daily living skills, routines, vocational goals, and community engagement
  • Work collaboratively with psychologists, nurses, psychiatrists, recovery workers, and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and multidisciplinary reviews
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcome measures
  • Promote recovery, independence, and meaningful occupational engagement

Requirements

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working within mental health, addiction services, or rehabilitation is desirable
  • Knowledge of recovery-focused practice and occupational therapy models
  • Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
