Community Mental Health - Older Adult Service
We are excited to advertise an exciting Occupational Therapy opportunity within South Warwickshire Older adult service. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team, bringing your Occupational Therapy skills, ideas, and creativity to a service focused on improving the lives of Older adults.
As an Occupational Therapist within the Older adult service, you will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive specialist assessments for clients with complex presentations, including behaviors that challenge. Such clients may be in their own home or in community placements and may require a variety of Occupational Therapy interventions.
The role will span both functional illnesses and Dementia, therefore a broad mental health knowledge is essential.

The service received an overall rating of Good by the CQC and an Outstanding for care and compassion, of which we are rightly proud. We have also been recognized both locally and nationally by receiving awards for the services we provide.
Fit for the Future 10 Year Health Plan for England (2025) is the main strategic driver for change for Older adults accessing health and social care services. The role will align with expectations for moving service provision from hospitals to the community, as well as with local and national ambitions for integrated neighborhood teams. Place-based partnerships and integrated neighborhood teams promote a focus on prevention and integration of statutory and voluntary agencies.
