Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to join the West Locality Adult Social Care Team, supporting adults aged 18+ to live safely and independently within their communities.
This is a rewarding opportunity to use your OT expertise to complete person-centred assessments, promote independence and help prevent, reduce or delay the need for formal care and support.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Undertake person-centred Occupational Therapy assessments with adults aged 18+.
- Assess people's strengths, abilities, and support needs to help them live safely in the community.
- Promote independence and maximise individuals' strengths and capabilities.
- Take a strengths-based approach to prevent, reduce, or delay the need for care and support.
- Support carers to continue in their caring role for as long as they wish or are able to.
- Provide specialist OT advice and guidance to colleagues within the Adult Social Care team.
- Undertake supervisory responsibilities where directed by the Team Leader.
- Maintain accurate and robust records in line with HCPC and professional body requirements.
- Apply relevant legislation and professional guidance, including the Care Act 2014, Safeguarding, Mental Capacity, DoLS, and CHC.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for residents.
- Carry out visits to clients' homes, care homes, and other community settings.

Important: Driving & Travel
A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this position. You’ll be required to undertake regular visits to clients' homes, care homes, and other community settings, alongside working from the Market Street office.
Working Pattern
This is a hybrid role, with:
- 3 days per week in the Market Street office
- Community visits as required
- Regular travel to clients' homes, care homes, and other relevant locations
Qualifications & Experience
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working in Adult Social Care or a similar environment.
- The ability to work confidently in a community-based role, completing assessments and supporting adults to maximise their independence.
