Liquid Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join its client in Blackburn with Darwen.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a Local Authority setting, supporting adults to maximise their independence and wellbeing through high-quality Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Complete Occupational Therapy and functional assessments for adults within the community
  • Assess activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, environmental risks and barriers to independence
  • Recommend and prescribe appropriate equipment and adaptations to promote safe and independent living
  • Complete moving and handling assessments and provide appropriate recommendations to service users, carers and care providers
  • Work collaboratively with service users, families, carers, Social Workers and wider multidisciplinary teams
  • Support care and support planning through specialist Occupational Therapy advice around functional needs, risk and independence
  • Manage a varied caseload effectively, prioritising work according to assessed need and risk
  • Maintain accurate and timely assessments, reports and clinical records
  • Apply person-centred and strengths-based approaches to achieve positive outcomes for service users

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have,

  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Post-qualified experience
  • HCPC-registered
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy

Posts Available

  • 1 x Locum Occupational Therapists
  • Contract end date: 31 January 2027
  • Hours: 18.5 hours per week
