Join our dynamic Maximising Independence Service as an Occupational Therapist! In this vital role, you will provide therapy-led support to individuals recently discharged from hospital. Your expertise will help people regain their independence, enabling them to live fulfilling lives while reducing the need for ongoing care.
As An Occupational Therapist, You Will
- Assess individuals’ functional abilities and needs to create tailored reablement programmes.
- Design, implement, and review person-centred plans that promote independence.
- Teach rehabilitative techniques to individuals, their families, and support staff.
- Provide expert advice on specialist equipment and assistive technology.
- Contribute to the training and development of Reablement Support Workers.
- Collaborate with colleagues and partners to ensure effective service delivery.

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
- A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- For newly qualified OTs (Band A): Completion or willingness to undertake the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
- For experienced OTs (Band B): A minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience in complex case management.
