Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Occupational Therapist on behalf of its client for a position within the Home First Team in Wareham, Dorset.
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for your next opportunity within Adult Social Care?
Our client is seeking an experienced OT to join their expanding Home First Occupational Therapy Team, supporting hospital discharges, active recovery, and reablement services across Dorset.
In this role, you will work closely with health and community partners to help individuals achieve positive health and care outcomes, promoting independence and supporting people to remain safely in their own homes. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a collaborative and person-centred service dedicated to delivering high-quality support across the community.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Complete assessments and provide occupational therapy interventions to support independence and safe discharge.
- Support hospital discharge, active recovery, and reablement packages.
- Work collaboratively with health, social care, and community partners.
- Apply relevant OT frameworks, practice models, and evidence-based approaches.
- Contribute to a coordinated, person-centred approach across Dorset.
- Carry out visits across the county as required.
- Work as part of the wider Home First Social Care Team.

The role is based at Dorchester, with a combination of office-based and home working available. Due to the county-wide nature of the service, you’ll need to be comfortable travelling to visit individuals across Dorset.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- At least 3 years' post-qualified UK experience.
- Experience working within Adult Social Care / community settings.
- Knowledge of relevant theoretical frameworks, practice models, and research.
- An understanding of psychological and human development theories and their application to practice.
- Access to a car and willingness to travel across the county.
- The right to work in the UK.
