Now Hiring: Occupational Therapist (OT) PRN

Pinnacle Home Care, Florida’s largest Medicare-certified home health provider, has been delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for over two decades, and we’re looking for Occupational Therapists to join our award-winning team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the patient’s functional status (muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, communication skills, self-care, work capacity, etc.).
- Evaluate the home environment for hazards or barriers to independent living and identify necessary equipment.
- Collaborate in developing a comprehensive care plan.
- Design a treatment program with goals for improved function and communicate the plan to the referring physician and other team members.
- Teach or retrain patients in daily activities lost due to illness or injury, following agency policies.
- Fabricate splints and instruct patients on using adaptive equipment to enhance function.
- Provide training in the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and report any changes in the patient’s condition to the physician.
- Participate in in-services, case conferences, and meetings to promote coordinated care with healthcare team members.
- Work alongside physicians and discharge planners to provide health education to patients and families/caregivers.
- Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for additional services and make appropriate referrals.
- Confirm daily visit schedules to ensure seamless coordination with other staff.
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants in accordance with agency policies and state regulations.

Requirements:
Qualifications
- Must have a current OT license (state-specific).
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program recognized by the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Valid BLS certification.
- Minimum two years of OT experience (home health experience preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable and insured vehicle.
- Ability to visit homes that may not be wheelchair accessible.
- Confirm daily visit schedules to ensure seamless coordination with other staff.
- Sufficient hearing, eyesight, and dexterity to perform physical assessments and demonstrate care techniques.
- Engage in physical activities such as walking, standing, stooping, and occasional lifting or turning of patients.
