Occupational Therapist Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join a high-quality Occupational Therapy service. This opportunity is best suited to an ambitious and motivated individual with the desire to progress in their career, within a very supportive environment.

About the Role

Our service aims to help adults to continue to live at home, where your role will be to assess and manage a caseload of patients on an inpatient ward. The caseload will provide an opportunity to experience a variety of complex needs located across East Berkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an Outstanding CQC rated Trust committed to workplace wellbeing and to making Berkshire Healthcare a great place to work for everyone. This is demonstrated in the latest National Staff Survey results where we achieved the highest engagement score (staff feedback on their motivation, advocacy, and involvement at work) of all Community and Mental Health Trusts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage a caseload of patients on an inpatient ward.
  • Work within a Multi-Disciplinary Team within an inpatient setting.
  • Offer assessment and treatment for patients in the east of Berkshire.
  • Provide supervision guidance to band 3 and 4 support workers in the therapy team.
  • Make recommendations to the wider MDT and support with education of students.
  • Identify service developments, needs, contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of the service, and have responsibility for defined projects.
  • Be responsible for a complex caseload using an interdisciplinary, patient-focused rehabilitative approach with support from the senior therapists.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
