Occupational Therapist
Salary: £39,000 - £48,000 per annum
Location: Ware, Hertfordshire
Hours: Full-time or Part-time (Minimum 24 hours per week)
Make a Real Difference Through Rehabilitation
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our client's multidisciplinary team within a modern care and rehabilitation setting in Ware, Hertfordshire.
This is a unique opportunity to work primarily within a dedicated 13-bed Intermediate Care Unit, supporting individuals who have been discharged from hospital or referred from the community for further rehabilitation. You will play a vital role in helping people regain confidence, maximise independence, and achieve safe and successful discharges.
As the dedicated Occupational Therapist, you will work closely alongside a Physiotherapist and wider nursing and care teams, making a genuine impact on residents' recovery journeys.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments and develop rehabilitation plans.
- Deliver person-centred rehabilitation interventions to residents.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to residents, families, carers, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning.
- Undertake home access visits where required to assess environments and recommend equipment or adaptations.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
- Deliver training and guidance to care teams on equipment use and rehabilitation techniques.
- Promote resident independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety, infection control, and clinical governance standards.
About You
You will be a dedicated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting older adults through rehabilitation and recovery.

Essential Requirements
- BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Strong clinical assessment and rehabilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive, compassionate, and person-centred approach.
