Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist with Sensory Integration experience, looking for a role offering genuine flexibility?

We’re recruiting an OT to join a supportive specialist team in Solihull, working with children and young people with developmental, sensory and functional needs.

The client is specifically looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with practical experience of Sensory Integration (SI), so unfortunately this role would not be suitable for newly qualified OTs.

The role

You’ll provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for children and young people with a range of sensory, developmental and functional needs.

A key part of the position will involve using your existing Sensory Integration experience to assess sensory processing needs and develop appropriate therapeutic interventions.

You’ll also:

  • Complete comprehensive OT assessments
  • Develop individualised therapy programmes
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions
  • Support children and young people with sensory processing and developmental needs
  • Develop meaningful occupational therapy goals
  • Work closely with parents, carers and education professionals
  • Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Monitor progress and adapt intervention plans
  • Provide professional advice and recommendations

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to be:

  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • An experienced practising Occupational Therapist
  • Experienced in Sensory Integration / sensory processing work
  • Experienced in assessing needs and developing appropriate intervention plans
  • Confident working with children and young people
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with families, education teams and other professionals
  • Committed to evidence-based practice and continued professional development

Previous experience within SEND, paediatrics or a specialist setting would be particularly relevant.
