Full-Time Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full-Time Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the STRIVE Team, part of the wider national Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway. The role sits within a small psychologically led multi-agency team with a strong focus on supervision, training and continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Occupational Therapists in delivering interventions within the community, both through individual sessions and group work.
  • Work closely with service users to support their rehabilitation and resettlement from custody into the community.

Requirements

  • Motivated, dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant with experience of working with people from a range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Interest in working with individuals who have offending histories and personality difficulties.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in line with national standards.
  • Flexible, approachable and able to work effectively as part of a multiagency team.
  • Good communication, organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Full driving licence and access to appropriate transport.
