An opportunity has arisen for a full time and part time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) positions for applicants with an interest in working with people with Dementia.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) to join our teams on across Kingsley Ward, Warrington and Bridge Ward, Runcorn.
These posts are ideal for applicants with an interest in working with people experiencing dementia and a range of mental health conditions. You will work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting the delivery of occupational therapy interventions that promote recovery, independence and wellbeing.
We are looking for caring, committed individuals who can facilitate therapeutic group activities, deliver one-to-one sessions and support the registered Occupational Therapists in the assessment and treatment of service users.
The successful applicants will work across either Kingsley Ward or Bridge Ward, helping to provide a responsive and person-centred occupational therapy service.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of people with mental health needs and dementia, while developing their skills within a supportive and experienced Occupational Therapy team.

- Bridge Ward, The Brooker Centre, Runcorn, WA7 2DA
You will be responsible for assisting in the development and delivery of treatment and care plans where appropriate under the direction and supervision of a registered occupational therapist and in collaboration with the ward manager.
You will be required to actively work as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
You will be expected to work in an innovative way to support the smooth running of the ward and will be required to offer individual and group activities alongside occupational therapy staff.
These duties will extend to using the occupational therapy process to assist in assessment, planning and the implementation of therapeutic activities within an inpatient mental health setting.
You will be required to work collaboratively and flexibly with nursing and support worker colleagues to ensure meeting the diverse needs of service users and the function of the wards.
