Ocean Export Customer Service Operator
Paying £32,000 - £34,000 depending on experience.
Excellent benefits package offered
Monday to Friday, based in Birmingham
Freight Forwarding experience required.
We are seeking to recruit an Ocean Export Customer Service Operator candidate to join our client’s busy, expanding Ocean Export division.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Ocean Export Operator to join one of the largest privately-owned Freight Forwarders, who offer ongoing training, career progression, and an excellent benefits package.
We are looking for a candidate with experience of working in Ocean Export Customer Service, handling International Export Customers, Suppliers, and carriers for both FCL and LCL shipments.

Duties will include:
- Establishing and building strong relationships across all aspects of the Export supply chain
- Daily communication with Shipping Lines, Merchant hauliers, customers, and agents – internal and external departments
- Coordinating the Export of FCL & LCL Ocean freight shipments globally
- Arranging the collection of freight with hauliers
- Working with Shipping Lines ensuring all required equipment is at port for loading
- Full completion of Export shipping documentation
- Billing out Export files for invoicing maximizing profitability
- Answering queries and enquiries in a quick and efficient manner via telephone and email
- Utilizing the inhouse systems and cargo wise to ensure customers receive the best service
- Demonstrating excellent and professional customer service capabilities
