Are you a motivated export operations professional, looking to take the next step in your logistics career? On behalf of our client, we are looking to appoint an Ocean Export Operator. This is a full-time, permanent position working four days per week from their office based in Tilbury and from home one day per week.

What You'll Do
As Ocean Export Operator, you will be responsible for managing export sea freight shipments from booking through to final destination, ensuring a seamless service for customers while maintaining excellent communication with shipping lines, hauliers, and overseas partners.
Duties Include
- Negotiate and book cargo with shipping lines.
- Assist with the preparation and checking of export documentation including Bills of Lading, Health Certificates, Certificates of Origin, and other shipping documentation as required.
- Coordinate the collection/delivery process and manage this until the final destination.
- Monitor shipments from booking through to final delivery at destination.
- Ensure shipments load and sail as planned, proactively resolving any issues or delays. Track shipments until arrival at the final destination, keeping customers informed throughout.
- Verify supplier invoices and investigate or resolve any invoice discrepancies.
- Handle shipment-related queries efficiently, identifying solutions while providing regular updates to customers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ongoing support throughout the customers export journey.
- Provide support to colleagues, team leaders, and management to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Ensure all work complies with company procedures, shipping line requirements, industry regulations, and customer-specific requirements, whilst maintaining accuracy and compliance throughout the full export process.

What You Need
We're keen to speak to customer-focused export operations professionals. Experience of Reefer/temperature controlled shipments would be a distinct advantage, although this is not essential. Candidates must have strong attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong communication skills.
