About The Role
Join us here at Poundland & Dealz as an Ocean Freight & Origin Co-ordinator, in our Central Supply Chain team. The role is based at our Walsall office, with flexibility to work from home two days per week.
As Ocean Freight & Origin Co-ordinator, you will support the Ocean Freight & Origin team by providing data and reporting on Freight on Board tracking and critical path timelines. You will be responsible for FMCG FOB order tracking. Working in partnership with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Sourcing and Shipping teams, and FOB suppliers, the Ocean Freight & Origin team work to optimise ocean freight supply chain processes and capacity, to minimise ocean freight supply chain issues and mitigate risk in the ocean freight supply chain processes.
In This Role You Will
- Responsible for supporting the Ocean Freight & Origin team in producing weekly reporting to track FOB PO critical path and providing detail into the weekly FOB critical path pack.
- Work alongside Ocean Freight & Origin Co-Ordinators in supporting merchandising teams with their FOB & Origin visibility.
- Use reporting to proactively manage upcoming milestone deadlines.
- Provide insightful analysis to the FMCG merchandising team on ordering best practices.
- Liaise with Imports & Customs team to ensure a fully coordinated process of stock movement from Origin to DCs.
- Support the FOB and merchandising team to seek & implement cost saving initiatives.
- Work with Supply Chain teams to report on any shipment issues.
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to drive cost savings.
- Support in building the optimal solution for shipping containers directly to Ireland DC.
- Maintain a calendar of activity in the FOB & Origin team to manage timings such as seasonal range launches, Chinese New Year, National Holidays, container allocation forecasts.
- Supporting with GM and Clothing Ocean Freight and Origin in colleagues absence.

About You
You will be a Supply Chain Administration or Coordinator role with experience gained in a fast-paced and complex environment. Working knowledge of Freight on Board supply chain is preferred but not essential. You will be able to demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills, clear and concise communication skills and strong attention to detail.
