Our client, a well-established international freight forwarding and logistics provider, is looking for an Ocean Freight Specialist to join their growing team in Felixstowe.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven freight forwarding experience who enjoys preparing quotations, coordinating shipments, and building lasting customer relationships.
What You'll Do
As Ocean Freight Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end ocean freight shipments. A typical day will involve liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers, and customers, and completing the necessary transportation documentation.
Duties Include
- Coordinating import and export ocean freight shipments from start to finish : 90 imports
- Completing and submitting customs entries via Sequoia
- Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers, and customers
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and within deadlines
- Working closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities
- Providing exceptional customer service and regular shipment updates
- Ensuring all files are maintained in line with company procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement of operational processes within the company

What You Need
We're keen to speak to proactive ocean freight forwarders with 3+ years experience. Candidates should have a good understanding of documentation and regulations for both imports and exports.
