Ocean Freight Specialist

We are assisting a freight forwarder in their search for an Ocean Freight Specialist to join their team in Braintree, Essex. This position offers hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage ocean imports/exports from booking to final delivery
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service
  • Ensure that the import/export is forwarded to the customs clearance department
  • Respond to client inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Provide freight rates and verify that all required documentation is present for a successful customs clearance procedure
  • Ensure customers are fully informed of the progress of their shipments
  • Maintain regular contact with colleagues, clients, and suppliers
