Ocean Import Coordinator
The Ocean Import Coordinator will be responsible for the processing of import shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. Performs duties related to import documentation review and customs release coordination affecting timely delivery. Logistic coordination, included deliveries and distribution.
Essential Job Functions:
- Receive, review, and process import documentation for an assigned base of accounts.
- Monitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problem or irregularities.
- Provide excellent and timely client service by informing the client of the status of their shipment(s).
- Coordinate sea freight, release operations, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required.
- Dispatch deliveries with truckers.
- Coordinate warehousing operations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:
- Minimum 1 year experience in freight forwarding.
Other skills/abilities:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance.
- English language knowledge (oral/written) - level B1 minimum
- Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence.
- Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills.
