Role Description
The Ocean Pricing Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in the Birmingham Area, United Kingdom. In this position, the coordinator prepares and maintains ocean freight rates, surcharges, and tariffs, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing aligned with company guidelines and market conditions.

- The role includes reviewing customer requests for quotations, gathering carrier rates, and creating tailored pricing proposals in collaboration with sales teams.
- The coordinator communicates with internal stakeholders and external partners, monitors rate validity and performance, and supports pricing-related reporting and analysis.
- The position also involves contributing to process improvements, participating in training on new tools or procedures, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to interpret rate structures, market data, and pricing performance.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for working with internal teams, carriers, and customers.
- Candidates should possess customer service and sales-oriented skills to respond to quotations and support commercial objectives.
- Candidates should possess skills in training or knowledge sharing to support colleagues in pricing tools and processes.
- Relevant experience in freight forwarding, ocean logistics, or supply chain operations is highly beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple pricing requests under time constraints.
- Proficiency with Excel and other pricing or logistics software; familiarity with Cargowise is a plus.
