OEM Dealer Network Operations Manager

Sector: Automotive. Passenger cars

Travel: visiting dealerships to make sure the sales strategy is understood and to gather feedback

Salary: £70,000 + annual bonus of circa 15% (£10,500) + company car

Do you have a solid AUTOMOTIVE background? This role is varied and you role will be to create strategies that will get ever dealer /retailer performing properly, consistently and profitably — and you will look into how to improve the ones that aren't?

In this role you will be tasked with helping to define the UK sales strategy, set the objectives and KPIs behind it, measure dealer performance and then communicate the strategy to the network. You will report into the Head of Network Development, work closely with the Head of Sales, and have three Sales Trainers reporting to you.

This is a lovely busy job & you will be working for new brands. So you won’t be joining a long-established OEM where the dealer processes have been operating in broadly the same way for decades so you will directly help to determine how the UK dealer network actually operates and performs as the brands grow.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

DUTIES

You will be closing the loop between strategy, dealer performance and training and helping to shape how the UK dealer network performs as the brands grow. You'll have visibility across the whole network, own the performance levers and KPIs, work directly with retailers, influence UK sales strategy and have your own sales-training team to help turn that strategy into results.

  • DATA → identify the problem → dealer action plan → training/support → measure whether performance improves.
  • Review sales performance, retailer scorecards, variable margin measures and composite reports.
  • Identify which sites are performing well, which are behind and where there is potential financial upside. The job specifically requires translating site-by-site performance data into clear actions.
  • Speak to or visit key retailers, go through their performance and understand what is happening on the ground.
  • Meet the training team, set priorities, review what they're seeing in the network and determine what training/intervention is needed. Managing their objectives, performance and results is explicitly part of the role.
  • Work with the Head of Sales and Head of Network Development, looking at how the network is performing against the UK sales strategy.
  • Attend supplier meetings and tenders/contract renewals, as supplier management sits within the position.
  • Communicate with the dealerships and get the network moving that could mean a retailer webinar, video communication, email update or presentation explaining the latest sales priorities, performance expectations, incentives or KPIs.
