Offensive Security & Advanced Testing Consultant
💰 £600/day (Inside IR35)
📍 London/Manchester/Leeds/Bristol/Sheffield (2/3 days pw onsite)
📅 1 year Contract
Our client is looking for an experienced Offensive Security & Advanced Testing Consultant with strong expertise in Red Team Operations, Offensive Security Testing, Threat Emulation, AI Security Testing and Purple Teaming. The role will focus on assessing security resilience, identifying vulnerabilities and weaknesses, simulating realistic threat scenarios, and collaborating with security and technology teams to strengthen detection and response capabilities. Candidates should have strong technical offensive security experience, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate effectively within complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute Red Team operations to assess enterprise security resilience.
- Conduct advanced offensive security assessments and penetration testing across applications, infrastructure and enterprise environments.
- Design and execute threat emulation scenarios based on realistic attacker techniques and behaviours.
- Perform adversary simulation exercises to identify weaknesses in preventative and detective security controls.
- Conduct AI security testing, identifying vulnerabilities and security risks associated with AI-enabled applications and systems.
- Participate in Purple Team exercises, collaborating with Blue Teams to validate detection and response capabilities.
- Assess security control effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve enterprise defences.
- Document technical findings, vulnerabilities, risks and actionable remediation recommendations.
- Communicate testing outcomes and security risks to technical teams and senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with geographically dispersed security, engineering and business teams.

Essential Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Red Team Operations.
- Proven Offensive Security Testing / Advanced Penetration Testing experience.
- Experience conducting Threat Emulation / Adversary Simulation exercises.
- Practical knowledge of Purple Teaming and collaboration with defensive security teams.
- Experience or expertise in AI Security Testing.
- Strong understanding of attacker techniques, attack paths and security vulnerabilities.
- Ability to evaluate security controls and provide practical remediation recommendations.
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional and distributed teams.

- MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Red Team infrastructure and tooling.
- Threat intelligence-led testing.
- Security testing of cloud and enterprise environments.
