Role Description

The Office Administrative Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Barnsley. The individual in this role will handle day-to-day office administration, including managing incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, maintaining records and filing systems, and supporting scheduling and calendar management.

  • Coordinating with internal teams and external partners
  • Ensuring the office environment is organized and efficient
  • Assisting with customer inquiries
  • Supporting management with administrative tasks
  • Contributing to smooth operational workflows within the business

Qualifications

  • Strong Administrative Assistance and Clerical Skills to manage records, documentation, and daily office operations.
  • Professional Phone Etiquette and Communication skills to handle calls, emails, and customer inquiries effectively.
  • Experience in Executive Administrative Assistance or similar roles, supporting managers with scheduling, correspondence, and task coordination.
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office or equivalent), basic data entry, and document preparation.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy office environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Previous experience in an office or customer service environment is beneficial; knowledge of logistics or material handling sectors is an advantage but not essential as all training is provided.
