Office Administrator
Location: North London (100% Office Based)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
Our client is a well-established retail business based in North London with a strong presence in its sector. As part of the continued development of the business, they are seeking an experienced Office Administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of the office and provide administrative and operational support across the wider business.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to an organised, proactive individual who enjoys working in a busy environment and is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of the office, ensuring operations run efficiently and effectively.
- Provide administrative support to senior management and the wider business.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, correspondence and general office enquiries.
- Coordinate office supplies, equipment, maintenance and relationships with external suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, filing systems and internal documentation.
- Assist with processing purchase orders, invoices, expenses and general administrative paperwork.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal teams to resolve queries and ensure effective communication.
- Support stock administration, order processing and delivery coordination where required.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, managing diaries and coordinating appointments.
- Work closely with retail and operational teams to support the smooth running of business activities.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets and other administrative documentation as required.
- Support onboarding and general HR administration, including maintaining employee records.
- Identify opportunities to improve office procedures, administrative processes and overall efficiency.
- Provide ad hoc administrative and operational support to the management team.

Candidate Requirements

- Previous experience in an Office Administrator, Office Coordinator or similar administrative role.
- Experience working within retail, wholesale, distribution or a related commercial environment would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience with invoice processing, purchase orders and general office administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Comfortable liaising with suppliers, customers and colleagues across different departments.
- Proactive, reliable and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to support different areas of the business.
- Professional, personable and comfortable working in a busy, hands-on office environment.
- Able to work full-time from the company's North London office.
