Office Administrator and Senior Receptionist

The Institute of Criminology is looking for a proactive, welcoming, and efficient Office Administrator and Senior Receptionist. You will be joining a friendly and welcoming professional services team in one of the world's leading criminology departments, with an international reputation for excellence in research and teaching.

This key role combines front-of-house customer service with varied administrative support across the Institute. You will oversee the day-to-day running of reception, working alongside a part-time Receptionist, welcome guests, and assist senior administrators and academic teams with essential daily tasks and discrete projects.

This role is ideal for a warm, organised administrator who enjoys being the welcoming face of a department while keeping back-of-house operations structured and effective. If you are a natural problem-solver who enjoys variety, stays calm under pressure, and takes a proactive approach to supporting others, we would love to hear from you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
