Summary
A UK and US-based manufacturer specialising in PTFE (Teflon™) conveyor belting, heat-sealing equipment, and high-performance industrial tapes and materials. With over 20 years of experience, they design and supply custom PTFE conveyor belt solutions for manufacturers.
An exciting & varied role!
Wage: £16,640 a year
Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab) £16,640 to £17,000 per annum dependent on age and experience
Training course: Business administrator (level 3)
Hours: Flexible – Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm or 9am to 5pm – Friday’s 2pm finish. 40 hours a week
Start date: Saturday 19 December 2026
Duration: 1 year 4 months

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Answer calls and direct incoming calls and emails professionally
- Helping process customer orders and purchase orders onto their system, under guidance
- Supporting the team with preparing quotations, invoices, and delivery paperwork
- Helping maintain accurate customer and supplier records, including our CRM/database
- Providing general administrative support to the sales team, including diary management and correspondence
- Assisting with arranging shipping and courier collections, and related paperwork
- Filing, scanning, and organising both digital and physical records
- General office duties, such as keeping stationery stocked and communal areas tidy
- Supporting with stock and inventory administration
- Getting involved in ad hoc projects and tasks across the business as opportunities arise
- Completing coursework and assignments for your apprenticeship qualification, with time built into your week for study
Skills and experience required:
- No previous office experience needed — full training and support will be provided.
- A positive, can-do attitude and genuine willingness to learn
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- A keen eye for detail and a conscientious approach to your work
- Basic IT skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) — we'll build on these as you go
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a small team

What you'll learn
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- write letters or emails
- create proposals
- perform financial processes
- record and analyse data
Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
Produces accurate records and documents including:
- emails
- letters
- files
- payments
- reports and proposals
Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work.
Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures.
Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
Exercises proactivity and good judgement.
Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way.
Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.

They are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Office Administrator Apprentice to join their small, close-knit team in Daventry. This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their career to gain hands-on experience across office administration, customer service, and order processing, while working towards a recognised Business Administration qualification. You'll be fully supported and trained on the job, no previous office experience is required, just a willingness to learn and get stuck in.
