Your First Step into an Office Career

Office Junior | Northampton | £27,000 | Permanent

Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm

Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm

Are you looking for your first proper job and want to start building a career?

Maybe you've recently finished school, college, or university and you're not sure what you want to do next. Or perhaps you're working somewhere that doesn't offer much opportunity to progress.

This could be a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of an established and growing business, learn new skills, and build a career from the ground up.

What is the role?

We're looking for a bright, organised, and reliable person to join the office team as an Office Junior.

You don't need years of experience. In fact, previous office experience isn't essential.

You'll be given full training and will work alongside an experienced team, learning how the business operates and gradually taking on more responsibility.

Your Day-to-day Work Will Include

  • Helping with general office administration
  • Updating spreadsheets, databases, and internal records
  • Keeping important documents organised and up to date
  • Helping with health & safety and compliance administration
  • Supporting with facilities and office documentation
  • Making sure paperwork is completed and filed correctly
  • Helping keep company procedures and records up to date
  • Coordinating information between different areas of the business
  • Getting involved with different tasks as you develop

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You won't be expected to know everything from day one. The aim is to give you the training and experience to develop into a much more senior role over time.

Who are we looking for?

We're more interested in you and your attitude than how much experience you have.

You Might Be

  • A school or college leaver looking for your first full-time job
  • A recent graduate looking to get started in a business environment
  • Someone working in retail, hospitality, or another customer-facing role who wants a career change
  • Someone who has done some office work but wants a role with more opportunity to progress

Most Importantly, You'll Be Someone Who Is

  • Reliable - you turn up, get stuck in, and do what you say you'll do.
  • Organised - you like keeping things in order and don't mind working with paperwork and systems.
  • Switched on - you're willing to ask questions, learn, and take responsibility.
  • Personable - you're comfortable speaking to different people and working as part of a team.
  • Ambitious - you're looking for somewhere you can learn, develop, and build a career.

Where could this take you?

This isn't designed to be a job where you're doing the same basic admin forever.

As you learn the business, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility, particularly around health & safety and compliance, with the potential to progress further within the wider group.

You'll also gain experience across administration, business processes, compliance, facilities, and coordination - giving you a strong foundation for a long-term career.

What's on offer?

  • £27,000 starting salary
  • Full training provided
  • No previous office experience required
  • Clear opportunities for progression
