Plumbing & Gas Solutions Ltd is a Constructionline and CHAS accredited commercial plumbing and heating contractor based in Milton Keynes. The company provides bespoke services across gas, water, air conditioning, oil, LPG, and electric systems, ensuring high standards for a wide range of clients. Operating within a 30-mile radius, the team serves Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, and Buckinghamshire. Services include commercial and domestic plumbing and gas work, boiler repairs and servicing, plant room upgrades, LPG and oil installations, power flushing, gas fires, water heaters, and public and disabled access toilet facilities. The business is driven by a strong philosophy of quality, reliability, and customer-focused service.
Office Administrator – Maternity Cover

Location: Milton Keynes
Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover, approximately 12 months
Start date: September 2026
Hours: Full-time or part-time, Monday to Friday
Working arrangement: Office-based
Plumbing & Gas Solutions Limited is looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Office Administrator to join our friendly team in Milton Keynes. This is a maternity cover position starting in September 2026 and is expected to last for approximately one year. We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants. The role could be particularly suitable for someone looking to work school hours, with the specific working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.

The Role
You will play an important part in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our busy office and assisting colleagues across the business. Your responsibilities may include:
- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
- Updating customer and job information on our CRM system
- Producing and maintaining documents, records and spreadsheets
- Supporting the scheduling and coordination of works
- Communicating with customers, engineers, suppliers and colleagues
- Assisting with general office administration
- Helping the wider team with ad hoc administrative tasks
- Ensuring information is accurate, organised and kept up to date
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is highly organised and able to manage several tasks at once
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Is confident speaking with customers and colleagues
- Learns new systems and processes quickly
- Has experience using CRM or business management systems
- Has a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Has strong attention to detail
- Is reliable, proactive and able to use their own initiative
- Enjoys working as part of a supportive and successful team
- Can remain calm and professional in a busy office environment

Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role would be beneficial, although a positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work well with others are equally important.
