Job Title

Do you want to do meaningful work that makes a genuine difference to society? Our main purpose here at The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is to improve health and wellbeing by putting science and evidence at the heart of health and care decision making. As an organisation we all collaborate to achieve this same goal through empowering our workforce to do great things!

About the Role

Working within the Workplace and Facilities Management (WFM) team, you will contribute to the smooth running of our offices, meeting rooms and events. You will be a main point of contact for WFM; covering reception on a rota basis and dealing with enquiries in an approachable and professional manner, leading by example and delivering a customer focused, helpful service to staff and visitors.

You will use excellent organisational skills to manage your workload, work confidently both independently and as part of a team, and prioritise tasks as they arise.

You will write documents and develop and administer facilities systems, including electronic records, in accordance with our policies and procedures. Bringing attention to detail: ensuring information held in our intranet and files is accurate and up to date.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
