Office Administrator
Location: Portree
Salary: Competitive
Job Type: Full-Time / Fixed term contract 1 year
Are you organised, professional and customer-focused?
We are looking for an Office Administrator to join our depot team in Portree.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and motivated administrator who enjoys working in a busy environment, supporting customers and colleagues, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a depot.
You’ll provide a professional, responsive and effective administration service, helping to ensure customer requirements are met and planned deliveries are managed efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Complete all administration duties accurately and professionally, within agreed timescales.
- Support the efficient planning and administration of deliveries across the area.
- Process web, telephone and email orders and enquiries accurately and promptly.
- Respond to customer requests and provide information relating to product availability, delivery dates and times, order status, delivery status, and product and technical information.
- Provide documentation and back-office support for key accounts.
- Create and run reports as required.
- Liaise with your Line Manager and provide administrative support to the depot.
- Support the wider depot team when required.
- Maintain effective use of IT systems in line with company policies and procedures.
- Identify gaps in knowledge and proactively seek information or support where required.
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to deliver excellent customer service.

Ideally, You’ll Have
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Confidence in your own ability.
- High levels of self-motivation.
- A resilient, persistent and tenacious approach.
- The ability to handle customer objections effectively.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional manner.
- Good Maths and English skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A flexible approach and willingness to support colleagues when required.
