Overview
Valere Capital Partners LLP is looking for an Office and Operations Assistant to support the partners and take care of the day-to-day running of our London office. We need someone who can organise their own workload, notice what needs attention and follow tasks through.
Responsibilities
- Support the partners with documents, expense tracking, records and follow-up actions.
- Answer the main office phone and direct enquiries to the right person.
- Keep meeting rooms ready and help organise meetings and company events.
- Deal with suppliers, contractors, the landlord and building management, and follow up on office or property issues until they are resolved.
- Track subscriptions, renewal dates and supplier terms, liaising with providers as needed.
- Maintain health and safety records, arrange routine checks and follow up on actions. Act as an office fire warden and first aider; training will be provided.
- Coordinate the practical arrangements for new starters, including equipment, IT access requests and first-day office information.
- Help with basic meeting room and IT equipment set-up, referring more complex issues to our external IT provider.
- Support our CRM migration by checking and updating data and helping colleagues with administrative queries.
- Provide administrative support to the legal, recruitment and finance teams as required.

What we’re looking for
- At least two years’ experience in an office administration, team assistant or similar role, with the confidence to manage day-to-day tasks independently.
- Good practical Excel skills and confident use of Outlook, Word and Teams.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, including the ability to check your own work and keep track of outstanding tasks.
- A professional telephone manner and clear written and spoken English.
- Initiative: you can identify an issue, decide what you can resolve yourself and follow up with the right person when you need help.
- Experience providing administrative support across more than one team.
- An interest in learning about operations and the wider business.
- The right to work in the UK.

What success looks like
The office runs smoothly, calls reach the right people, supplies and routine checks are dealt with before they become problems, and property issues are followed through to resolution. The partners and wider team can rely on timely support from someone who is willing to get involved in different areas of the business.
Job details
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Hybrid working (at least four days per week in the office).
- Standard working hours: 8:00am–5:00pm.
