Role Description

The Office and Practice Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the office and supporting the overall management of the practice. Daily tasks include:

The role involves assisting with practice workflows, supporting billing and invoicing processes, monitoring supplies and equipment, and helping to implement office policies and procedures. The administrator will collaborate with staff, support basic reporting on practice performance, and contribute to a professional, welcoming environment for clients and visitors.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Practice Management, with the ability to support day-to-day administrative operations.
  • Background in working in a practice-related environment, with a practical understanding of a practice setting.
  • Budgeting skills, including basic financial tracking, assisting with cost control, and supporting preparation of simple reports or forecasts.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficient in office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, practice management systems) and comfortable learning new digital tools.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a professional approach to interacting with staff, clients, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Relevant education or training in business administration, or a related field is beneficial; prior experience in a similar role is an advantage.
