Opening Doors Office Coordinator

Location

Opening Doors, 38a Bull Close, Norwich, Norfolk, NR3 1SX
with some travel around Norfolk required.

Salary

£25,878 to £27,000 per annum pro rata, depending on skills and experience

Hours

16 hours per week, worked over 3 days between 9 am and 5 pm

Opening Doors is a user led self advocacy charity run by and for adults with learning disabilities in Norfolk.

About The Role

This is a varied role helping to keep Opening Doors organised and running smoothly.

You will provide practical administrative support to our staff, members, volunteers, Management Committee and Trustees.

Your Work Will Include

  • Answering phone calls and monitoring our general emails.
  • Keeping files, records and contact information organised and up to date.
  • Helping organise meetings, training, groups and events.
  • Booking taxis and transport for self advocates.
  • Taking and sharing meeting minutes and actions.
  • Helping with social media, mailings, photos and other communications.
  • Keeping attendance, feedback and project information up to date.
  • Providing administrative support across the charity.

An important part of this role is spending 3 hours each week working alongside a paid colleague with a learning disability. You will support them to carry out their work, learn new skills and build confidence and independence.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is organised, patient and approachable, with good communication and digital skills. You should be able to manage different tasks, work independently and work well as part of a small team.
