About the Role
Are you an experienced Office Manager or Senior Administrator looking for a role where no two days are the same? Do you thrive on organisation, enjoy leading people, and take pride in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes?
We're looking for a proactive, highly organised and people-focused Office Manager to join our specialist school. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our leadership support team, working closely with the Head of Service to ensure the school operates efficiently, compliantly and professionally every day.
As our Office Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of school administration, lead and develop a dedicated administration team, and play a vital role in supporting staff, pupils, families and visitors. Your work will directly contribute to creating a safe, welcoming and well-organised environment where everyone can flourish.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead, motivate and develop the Administration Team, ensuring an efficient, high-quality support service across the school.
- Oversee the day to day running of the school office and reception, creating a professional and welcoming experience for pupils, families and visitors.
- Manage key administrative processes including admissions, pupil records, staff personnel files and safeguarding compliance, including the Single Central Record.
- Support financial administration, including purchase orders, invoices, expenses, budgets and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Coordinate school events, meetings, parent evenings and provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Work collaboratively with the Headteacher, Facilities Manager and wider teams to ensure the smooth operation of the school, including premises coordination and contractor management.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
