Office Manager Opportunity at Warmsworth Primary School
Warmsworth Primary School has an exciting opportunity for an Office Manager to lead our team of office staff and contribute to the effective running of our school.
The Governors of Warmsworth Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced Office Manager as soon as possible to be responsible for the leadership and daily smooth running of our busy school office. We are looking for a highly efficient and well-organised person to lead and manage our team of administrators and provide day-to-day support to pupils, parents, carers, staff and visitors.
We are looking for someone who can use their own initiative; works well under pressure and has exceptional customer service skills.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Experience of working within an office environment, preferably a school setting
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- A friendly, flexible and professional approach, particularly when multi-tasking under pressure
- A very good working knowledge of office management systems such as Microsoft Word/Excel/Publisher etc
- A full working knowledge of SIMS is a significant advantage, although training and support will be provided to the suitable candidate
- Good understanding of financial procedures
- The ability to prioritise workload to ensure office systems operate efficiently for the smooth running of the school
- Have good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE (or equivalent) English and Mathematics to Grade C/Grade 4 or above.)

The Governors of Warmsworth Primary School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants will undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS certificate, the role is engaged in regulated activity and will therefore require a children’s barred list check. Shortlisted Applicants will be required to complete a self-disclosure.
In addition, as part of the shortlisting process the school will carry out an online search as part of their due diligence on the shortlisted candidates.
