Role Description
The Office Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Edinburgh, with a combination of office-based and work-from-home duties. This position oversees day-to-day office operations, including managing administrative processes, coordinating appointments and survey schedules, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth communication between staff, clients, and partners. The Office Manager will handle incoming enquiries, provide responsive customer service, support invoicing and basic financial administration, and ensure office equipment and systems are functioning effectively. The role also involves implementing and maintaining office procedures, supporting health and safety documentation, and assisting the leadership team with reporting and general administrative tasks.

- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to manage enquiries, support clients, and work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Office Administration and Administrative Assistance skills to organize schedules, maintain records, and support day-to-day operations.
- Experience with Office Equipment and basic IT systems to ensure smooth operation of office tools and technology.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a busy environment.
- Proficiency in common office software (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets) and comfort learning new systems as needed.
- Previous experience in an office management or administrative role, ideally within a service-based or technical industry.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices or facilities management is beneficial, though not essential.
