Our client is an Energy trading business based in London, a subsidiary of a large Energy Utility business in Europe.
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Office Manager to oversee the London office operations. This role combines hands-on responsibility with strategic oversight, making it perfect for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative and thrives in a collaborative, international environment.
The successful candidate will be an experienced, corporate Office Manager, who is able to manage an office with circa 120 staff. You will enjoy a very competitive salary with a generous holiday allowance, in a rapidly growing trading company.
Key Responsibilities
Office Management & Administration
- Ensure smooth running of the London office; managing one Office Coordinator/Junior Office Manager.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, service providers and building management.
- Process invoices, track costs and support budget management.
- Coordinate with external IT providers on office systems and equipment.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Lead the admin team and allocate tasks efficiently.
- Coordinates and prioritizes team workload but has no line management responsibilities.

Facility Management
- Ensure the office environment is safe, functional, well-maintained and aligned with business needs.
- Manage the external facilities service provider.
- Monitor service quality, timelines and compliance with agreed service levels.
- Lead space planning, office moves and reconfigurations.
Health & Safety
- Act as the main point of contact for health and safety matters alongside the HSO.
- Keep policies and risk assessments up to date.
- Organise staff training and emergency preparedness.

International Collaboration
- Work closely with central functions in German headquarters and support effective communication.
- Ensure corporate standards are implemented in the London office.
Required Skills & Experience
- Solid experience in facilities and office management.
- A strong understanding of health and safety compliance and training.
- You have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- You have a proactive mindset and a willingness to take the initiative - you embody a hands-on mentality.
- You have a friendly, dependable and team-oriented personality.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
