Role: Office Manager

Location: Oxford

Salary: up to £35,000 (DOE)

Working pattern: Full-time


We are working with a growing and forward-thinking law firm in Oxford who are looking for a proactive and organised Office Manager to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, keeping an office running smoothly and working across a varied range of responsibilities. You will work closely with the wider management team and play an important role in supporting the firm's continued growth.

The Role

As Office Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the firm's Oxford office, ensuring it remains an efficient, professional and welcoming environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day running and presentation of the office and client meeting spaces
  • Liaising with the landlord and managing office maintenance, repairs and building requirements
  • Managing operational contracts, suppliers and subscriptions, including utilities, cleaning, waste and facilities
  • Reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and value
  • Managing business insurance and office-related obligations
  • Coordinating with external IT providers to resolve issues and manage equipment upgrades and replacements
  • Supporting health and safety requirements, including fire risk assessments, first aiders and DSE assessments
  • Managing office supplies, stationery and general facilities
  • Supporting internal meetings, events, training sessions and client hospitality
  • Providing general administrative and operational support where required

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Proactive, organised and able to work independently
  • Confident managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail
  • Practical and solutions-focused, with a willingness to get involved
  • Comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for their work
  • Able to build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and external contacts
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Previous experience in office management, office operations or a similar role is essential. Experience within a professional services or legal environment would be advantageous.
