About the Role
We are seeking an organised, proactive Office Manager to lead our front office team and deliver high quality, confidential administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will be an efficient manager skilled in developing staff and optimising administrative processes particularly through Google Workspace and MIS systems like Arbor. You will bring exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a warm, professional manner when liaising with pupils, parents, and external agencies. If you are an adaptable, tech-savvy administrator who thrives in a dynamic school environment, we would love to hear from you.

Required Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE Grade C in English & Maths (or equivalent)
- NVQ in Business Administration (or equivalent)
Experience
- Experience managing a busy office
- Knowledge of computerised school management systems (Google and Arbor desirable)
- Experience working in an Educational setting

Job Details
- Reporting to: Principal
- Start Date: 30th November 2026
- Hours: Part Time 30 hours per week (Monday to Thursday), Term Time Only Plus Training Days (39 weeks) 8.00am to 4.00pm
- Grade: Band E, Points 18 - 25, starting salary around £23,656 pro rata/per annum
- Location: George Betts Primary Academy, West End Avenue, Smethwick B66 1RF
- Contract Type: Fixed Term Maternity Cover Contract
- Closing Date: 9am Wednesday 21st October 2026 (The closing date may be brought forward or extended depending on the number of applications)
