Office Operations Manager
Honeycomb is delighted to be recruiting for an Office Operations Manager on behalf of a highly regarded global professional services firm in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Office Manager or Operations professional with strong leadership, organisational and commercial skills to take responsibility for the smooth running of a busy professional services environment.
The Job
This is a senior operational role with overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of office operations and legal support services in Belfast.
The successful candidate will lead and manage the Office Operations and Legal Support teams, ensuring a high-quality, efficient and client-focused service across the office. The role will cover team leadership, facilities, budgets, suppliers, office services, events, business continuity and wider operational initiatives.
Working closely with senior management and key stakeholders, you will act as a trusted advisor on office operations and contribute to local, regional and global projects.

The Role
- Overall responsibility for the management and smooth operation of the Belfast office
- Lead and manage the Office Operations and Legal Support teams
- Manage recruitment, development, performance and resource planning across the teams
- Work closely with senior management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Oversee the quality and consistency of legal support services
- Manage office services including reception, meeting rooms, hospitality, events and facilities
- Oversee third-party suppliers and contractors, including cleaning, maintenance, catering, couriers and transportation
- Manage relationships with landlords, facilities providers and external service providers
- Oversee office maintenance, physical security and facilities projects
- Manage office space and support office moves and changes
- Take responsibility for the office operations budget and monitor expenditure
- Support business continuity, emergency planning and workplace health and safety processes
- Monitor environmental performance, including energy management and recycling
- Take ownership of office-wide events and initiatives
- Contribute to local, regional and global strategic projects
- Work collaboratively with other office managers and operational teams
- Provide regular updates to senior management on operational performance and issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant requirements
The Person
- Proven experience as an Office Manager, Office Operations Manager or similar senior operational role within a fast-paced professional services environment
- Experience leading, managing and developing high-performing teams
- Strong operational management and organisational skills
- Experience managing suppliers, contractors and budgets
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and external contacts
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong judgement and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and autonomously
- Flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Professional, proactive and solutions-focused approach
- High level of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism
- Experience managing Personal Assistants or similar support professionals would be desirable
- Experience within a legal or professional services environment would be advantageous
- An interest in innovation, emerging technology and new ways of working would be beneficial
