Position Overview
Crux are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Office Receptionist to join our Operations team. This role is central to creating a welcoming and positive experience for everyone who visits our office, while providing administrative support that helps keep the business running smoothly.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with reception, office administration or customer service experience who enjoys a varied role in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include reception duties, visitor management, meeting support, office administration and maintaining office facilities and resources.
You will also support the wider business with record management, holiday administration and document control, with occasional involvement in user research and human factors studies.
This role will suit someone reliable, proactive, highly organised and that has a professional manner. You'll be confident managing a varied workload, able to prioritise tasks effectively and enjoy working with people at all levels. You will have a positive, customer-focused approach and demonstrate the company values of Integrity, Ingenuity and being Invested in everything you do.
Principal Responsibilities
Front of House
- Provide a professional and welcoming experience for visitors, clients and suppliers.
- Manage reception activities, including calls, visitor sign-in, parking and shared inboxes.
- Prepare meeting rooms and coordinate hospitality, refreshments and client lunches.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries and courier services.

Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Operations team and wider business.
- Arrange meetings, support company events and maintain company records.
- Manage holiday administration and support document control activities.
- Assist with user research and human factors studies when required.
General
- Maintain office facilities, communal areas and meeting spaces to a high standard.
- Manage office supplies, stock levels, orders and supplier coordination.
- Oversee shared resources, including lockers, equipment and parking arrangements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and comply with company policies and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in reception, office administration or customer service.
- Friendly, professional and customer-focused approach.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work proactively.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information appropriately.
