We’re seeking an Office Supervisor and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Countersignatory to create a supportive environment by supervising our small, self-employed dedicated office-based team.
Your Responsibilities
- Liaise monthly with SAFEcic’s Managing Director and ensure coordination of all administrative functions of the company and oversee the office calendar.
- Provide quarterly one-to-one supervision to office-based personnel.
- Act as the Data Protection Officer and ensure the company meets the legal requirements of Health and Safety, First Aid, Fire, etc.
- Attend and clerk quarterly board meetings and provide an overview and statistics for all services provided by our personnel in advance.
- Countersign DBS application forms during busy periods if required.
- Attend professional development training as required.
- Carry out such reasonable duties as requested by SAFEcic’s MD.
What You Will Need
- The successful applicant must evidence qualifications at a further (or higher) education level.
- Be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Have outstanding attention to detail and adherence to strict confidentiality clauses.

There is an occupational requirement for the successful candidate to be over 18 years of age due to the role including acting as a Countersignatory for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and appointment is subject to successfully obtaining DBS Countersignatory status. The role of DBS Countersignatory is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 as amended: In order to obtain Countersignatory status from the DBS, the applicant will need to undergo a check of police and other records at a similar level to an Enhanced DBS check (this check will be arranged by SAFEcic but only the DBS will receive and assess the result).
