Position Summary

The Material Planner with AMOS Super User capabilities is responsible for coordinating, forecasting, and managing inventory and material requirements to support maintenance operations. This role ensures the efficient availability of spare parts, consumables, expendables, rotables, and tools by utilising the AMOS system at an advanced level. The AMOS Super User also provides system support, training, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Planning & Inventory Management

  • Develop and manage material forecasts to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Monitor consumption trends and adjust planning parameters.
  • In-depth knowledge in IP and RP
  • Coordinate with maintenance and end users for material replenishment.
  • Review slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and recommend corrective actions.

2. AMOS System Administration (Super User Role)

  • Serve as the AMOS subject-matter expert.
  • Configure, optimize, and maintain AMOS material-related functionalities.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve system issues.
  • Train staff and maintain SOPs, user manuals, and process documentation.

3. Maintenance Support

  • Coordinate with planning and engineering teams for upcoming material requirements.
  • Track outstanding orders and shortages impacting maintenance.
  • Ensure materials comply with industry, regulatory, and safety standards.

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work with suppliers regarding delivery timelines and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate logistics, shipping, and customs processes.
  • Work with warehouse teams on issuing, receiving, and staging of materials.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Generate inventory, ageing, and usage reports using AMOS.
  • Provide KPIs such as stock accuracy, forecast accuracy, TAT, and shortages.
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and traceability.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AMOS (Super User level).
  • Ability to configure workflows and optimize system performance.
  • Proficiency in ERP and inventory control systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in material planning and knowledge in rotable management will be valuable.
  • Proven expertise as an AMOS Super User (mandatory).
  • Experience in maintenance-driven, aviation, or technical environments is preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to support system upgrades and participate in UAT.
  • Willingness to support after-hours maintenance events when required.
