CCL Global Offshore Fabrication Supervisor

Job Description

CCL Global is seeking an Offshore Fabrication Supervisor for a 28/28 rotation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience of Blasting, painting, inspection, and supervisor roles.
  • Level 3 Coating Inspection Qualification.
  • IRATA/Nebosh qualifications desirable.
  • Familiar with both industry and safety-related standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrable leadership & personnel supervisory skills.
  • Culturally aware with experience of working with a multi-national workforce.

Recommended Experience & Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of Fabric Maintenance procedures on Process and Utilities equipment, on an Oil & Gas Facilities.
  • Ability to lead a team of Fabric Maintenance Technicians, both as a supervisor and in a technical advisory capacity.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in Fabric Maintenance Works at Lead level.
  • Ability to communicate with technical specialists and to interpret technical drawings and specification documents.
  • Adept at conducting Job Safety Analysis or Task Risk Assessments as & when required.
  • Ability to lead Toolbox Talks as & when required.
  • Understanding of best practice, standards, relevant regulation.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage & motivate a Team of FM Technicians to maintain the highest safety performance with Zero LTI goal, while keeping them focused on the tasks at hand.
  • To ensure that all Blasting/Painting equipment is maintained in a fully operational mode available to Operations.
  • Ensure that all Safety Critical devices are in compliance as per Statutory Regulations.
  • Plan/Assign daily tasks as per work plan to FM Technicians.
  • Report any failures of equipment to Maintenance Supervisor and assist the maintenance team in resolving those issues.
  • Assists the Maintenance Supervisor with evaluation of equipment/personnel performance when requested.
  • Oversee and have input performance of work scope through S-Curve, and suggest improvements where possible to increase production.
  • Compile detailed written reports on daily activities, maintain records of all Blast/Paint/Inspection equipment.
  • Ensure that Daily report is kept up to date with all relevant Historical data, Materials, and Manhours.
  • Monitor the progress of assigned National Staff with regards to their On The Job Training & Conduct Assessments.
  • Ensure that National Staff are being appropriately Coached by The Lead Technicians in their relevant tasks.
  • Conduct Toolbox Safety Talks, facilitate Task Risk Assessments & Job Safety Analysis as and when required.
  • Cooperate with Equipment Vendors & OEM Specialists to facilitate their manpower and material requirements, when onboard SHP.
  • Works within the statutory Health and Safety Procedures and the Permit-to-Work system.
  • Ensure that all work conducted will be done so in a safe manner, utilizing all safety equipment & PPE necessary to complete the specific tasks within the Permit To Work system.
  • Know & understand role in Emergency Response to an emergency situation & in emergency exercises / drills.

  • Manage & Motivate the Team of Fabric Maintenance Technicians to maintain the highest safety performance with Zero LTI goal, while keeping them focused on the tasks at hand.
  • Ensure that all Blast/Paint/Inspection equipment is maintained operational and available for use.
  • Ensure that all Safety Critical devices are in compliance as per Statutory Regulations.
  • Plan/Assign daily tasks as per work plan.
  • Training of national labor both through On The Job Training and Competency Based Training Assessment on a daily basis to ensure that a good safety culture and consistent & comprehensive transfer of technology are achieved.
  • Work in close cooperation with other discipline Supervisors to ensure no disruption to other works being carried out.
  • Report any failures of equipment to Maintenance Supervisor and co-operate with the maintenance team in resolving those issues.
  • Assists the Maintenance Supervisor with evaluation of equipment performance when requested.
  • Ability to identify & order Equipment/consumables when required to avoid any stoppage of works.
  • Compile detailed written reports on daily activities, maintain records of all maintenance activities carried out on any equipment.
  • Ensure that daily report is kept up to date with all relevant Historical data and Manhours.
  • Ensure that National Staff are being appropriately Coached by The Lead Technicians in their relevant tasks.
  • Interface with the Operations team, providing fabric maintenance support for Process, Utility Plant and equipment.
  • When Contractor and Vendor representatives are tasked with specific maintenance and/or inspection scopes on SHP, ensure they are supervised/assisted by FM Technicians during their respective activities.
  • Check all Planned Maintenance Permits to ensure they have applicable support drawings, procedures & safety-related paperwork, prior to submission.
  • Be a part of an investigation team for any incident related to mechanical equipment or incidents in which you were either involved or as a witness.
  • Know & Understand your Emergency Response role in an emergency situation & at emergency exercises / drills.
  • Conduct Toolbox Safety Talks, facilitate Task Risk Assessments & Job Safety Analysis as and when required.
